THE BRAHMA BAND
A field guide
to finding the groove.
A team is an ensemble. A coach listens, tunes, creates space—and learns when to step back.
These reflections bring music, old teachings, and life on a youth soccer field into the same conversation. For coaches and parents who want children to grow in confidence and keep loving the game.

ABOUT US
Big heart.
Room to grow.
Team Brahma grew out of years playing youth soccer and a return to the field to coach our young kids. Now back for my second stint as a coach, I bring 10 years of classroom experience as a credentialed teacher and a lifetime of guitar strumming. It all comes back to one question: what are we making possible for our kids?
Our name was chosen with intention. It brings together Fair Oaks’ chicken spirit, the Brahma chickens in our own backyard, and Brahmā’s association with creation.
The music came from listening. Every child needs something different. Some need a little challenge. Some need reassurance. Some are already singing and need us to leave room.
We’re parents. We’re coaches.
We’re learning to let them play.
